Protecting Parental Rights
- Reaffirm the understanding that they are OUR kids, and parents make the ultimate decisions regarding what values their children will learn and what material they will be exposed to
- Fight for greater communication and transparency so parents are active partners in their child’s educational methods and curriculum choices
- Ensure communication with parents and educational partners is a TWO-WAY STREET and occurs in a timely manner to deliver consistent messaging and accountability
- Keep student medical decisions in the hands of parents, NOT school administrators or staff
Enforcing Fiscal Discipline
- Make smarter and more consistent budgeting decisions based on real input from all community partners that make the broadest and best use of the funding across all campuses and programs
- Ensure that all funds are spent in a measured and disciplined manner according to appropriate timelines and clearly defined rules, and remain aligned with their original intended use
- Eliminate pet/vanity projects
Prioritizing Student Achievement
- Focus available funding and staffing resources on closing the learning gap suffered by our students due to school COVID closures and chronic absenteeism
- Create educational opportunities and vocational trade pathways for all students that both maximize their unique talents while also teaching the basic skill set needed for them to be productive citizens
- Advocate tirelessly for our most at-need student populations for programs and support that WORK, is SUSTAINABLE, and gets our students back to grade-level proficiency
- Emphasize education and critical thinking, NOT ideologies or indoctrination!
